Biostimulators are injectable treatments intended to stimulate the body’s collagen response. Sculptra contains poly-L-lactic acid and is considered for selected concerns about facial volume and support.
Results develop gradually rather than as an immediate finished effect. Your clinician explains the proposed number of sessions, suitability, aftercare and how this differs from a hyaluronic acid filler.

Ageing skin is influenced by genetics, UV exposure, smoking, hormones, health and skincare. Choose an age, hormonal stage and main goal to see a proportionate order for consultation.
This is a conceptual population trend, not a personal measurement. It cannot measure your collagen or elastin, diagnose skin or prescribe treatment.
Your 40sVisible change varies widely.
Direction and timing vary. Photoageing can also create abnormal elastin accumulation, so “more elastin” does not necessarily mean healthier function.

Sculptra is a poly-L-lactic acid biostimulator. The vial plan follows the area, degree of change and clinical assessment; it is not a shortcut to a guaranteed result.
Single vial
A more focused starting point.
May suit a conservative or more limited plan when the assessment supports it. The clinician confirms where the prepared product will be used and whether a staged course is more appropriate.
Two vials
A broader agreed plan.
May be considered when several areas or a greater degree of support are being addressed. Two vials do not mean twice the result; anatomy, preparation and the treatment plan still guide the response.
How change develops
Gradual, then reviewed.
Early swelling is temporary and is not the finished result. The intended change develops gradually over the following weeks and months as the tissue response evolves. Review comes before any decision about another session.

When does the change appear?
Collagen remodelling takes time. Improvement is assessed over the following months, with the response and course varying between people.
Can Sculptra be dissolved like a hyaluronic acid filler?
No. It cannot be dissolved using the enzyme used for hyaluronic acid filler. This difference is part of the suitability and consent discussion.
Do I need a consultation first?
Yes. Your medical history, concerns and suitability are assessed before treatment is agreed. We explain the options, risks, recovery and total cost so you can make an informed decision.
