Laser energy targets pigment in the hair to heat the follicle. Because hairs grow in different phases, a course of appointments is needed and maintenance may be recommended.
We assess hair colour, skin tone, recent sun exposure and medical history before choosing settings. A patch test is arranged when required. Results vary; very light, grey or red hair may respond poorly.

Before, during
and after your visit.
Consultation & patch test
Start with your £10 consultation and patch test, payable when booking. We assess your skin, hair, recent tanning and medicines, then explain preparation and a suitable course. The £10 is credited against subsequent laser hair removal treatment if you proceed.
Your chosen treatment area
Lola checks your skin and preparation, provides eye protection and chooses settings for the assessed area. Cooling is used to help with comfort.
A course with review
Choose a single session, a six-session course or a ten-session package. Ten-session packages are valid for 18 months. Appointment spacing and any maintenance depend on the area and response.

How many sessions will I need?
Several sessions are usually needed because only some hairs are in the most responsive growth phase at each appointment. The number and maintenance depend on the area and your response.
Can darker skin be treated?
The clinician chooses a suitable wavelength and settings after assessing skin tone and hair. Suitability is individual and a recent tan may mean treatment must be postponed.
How should I prepare?
Follow the clinic’s instructions about shaving, avoiding waxing or plucking, sun exposure and skincare. Tell us about medication changes before every session.
Do I need a consultation first?
Yes. Your medical history, concerns and suitability are assessed before treatment is agreed. We explain the options, risks, recovery and total cost so you can make an informed decision.
