PRP therapy

An individual plan for skin or scalp.

Platelet-rich plasma treatment using a preparation from your own blood.

Understanding your treatment

A plan shaped
around you.

A small blood sample is processed in a centrifuge to produce platelet-rich plasma. The preparation is then used as part of a treatment for an assessed skin or scalp concern.

For hair concerns, understanding the cause of the loss comes first. Suitability and results vary, and PRP may be discussed alongside established treatments or a referral.

An educational skin timeline

How skin structure
changes with time.

Ageing skin is influenced by genetics, UV exposure, smoking, hormones, health and skincare. Choose an age, hormonal stage and main goal to see a proportionate order for consultation.

This is a conceptual population trend, not a personal measurement. It cannot measure your collagen or elastin, diagnose skin or prescribe treatment.

Your 40sVisible change varies widely.

Direction and timing vary. Photoageing can also create abnormal elastin accumulation, so “more elastin” does not necessarily mean healthier function.

Age-aware consultation order

Start with the concern, skin examination and sun history.

Treatments are optional. The order below is educational and must be adjusted for diagnosis, skin type, medical history, recovery time and personal preference.

How PRP is prepared

From blood sample
to treatment plan.

PRP uses a preparation made from your own blood. The exact concentration and composition vary with the person, collection system and processing method, so response cannot be predicted from the name alone.

01

Collect

A small blood sample.

Blood is collected after the clinician checks your history, medicines and the skin or scalp concern being assessed.

02

Prepare

Separate the components.

The sample is processed in a centrifuge to prepare plasma containing a concentrated platelet fraction. Sterile handling remains essential.

03

Treat

Use only in the agreed area.

The prepared PRP is applied or injected according to the assessed plan. For hair concerns, the cause and stage of hair loss are considered before a course is recommended.

What to expect

Before, during
and after your visit.

01

Assess skin or scalp

We explore your concern and medical history. Hair-loss treatment starts with considering the cause, rather than assuming one procedure suits every pattern.

02

Prepare your PRP

A blood sample is taken and processed to prepare platelet-rich plasma. Your clinician explains the agreed application, comfort measures and treatment areas.

03

Review the course

Expect individual aftercare and advice about temporary tenderness or swelling. We assess your response before deciding how the course should continue.

Your questions, answered

Your questions.
Clear answers.

Does using my own blood remove all risk?

No. Blood collection and injections still carry risks, including bruising and infection. Sterile handling and a medical assessment remain essential.

Will it work for every type of hair loss?

No. The cause and stage of hair loss affect the options. A scalp assessment is needed before recommending a course.

Do I need a consultation first?

Yes. Your medical history, concerns and suitability are assessed before treatment is agreed. We explain the options, risks, recovery and total cost so you can make an informed decision.

How do I arrange an appointment?
