Laser hair removal

Bikini line

Unwanted hair in the bikini line.

01

What it is

The concern.

Unwanted hair in the bikini line.

02

Why it appears

What may shape it.

The visible concern can have more than one cause. Your consultation checks the diagnosis, skin or tissue involved, previous treatment and the change you would like to see.

03

The treatment

How it may help.

Candela GentleMax Pro settings are selected for the area, hair and skin tone. A course is usually required because hairs grow in cycles.

The Alexandrite and Nd:YAG wavelengths allow the clinician to plan hair reduction across a broad range of skin types. Assessment and patch testing guide the settings.

The device supports the treatment plan; the clinical assessment determines whether the treatment is appropriate.

Your focused guide

Bikini line.
From assessment to review.

This guide explains the pathway for this option. Your consultation confirms whether the diagnosis, technology and recovery fit you.

01

Suitability and patch test

The consultation checks hair colour and thickness, skin type, medicines, recent tanning and the treatment area. Laser targets pigment in the hair, so very light, grey or red hair may respond poorly. A patch test helps select safe settings.

02

How GentleMax Pro works

The Candela GentleMax Pro uses Alexandrite or Nd:YAG laser energy with cooling. Energy absorbed by suitable hair damages the follicle during an active growth phase. Wavelength and settings are selected for the skin and hair rather than using one setting for everyone.

03

Preparing for treatment

Avoid waxing, threading or epilating before the course because the follicle needs to be present. Shaving guidance, sun avoidance and product restrictions are explained at consultation. Protective eyewear is used during every treatment.

04

Course and maintenance

Hair grows in cycles, so repeated sessions are needed to reach follicles at the right stage. The aim is long-term hair reduction, not a guarantee of permanent clearance. Hormonal change, area and hair characteristics influence the course and later maintenance.

Your questions, answered

Before you
take the next step.

Do I need a consultation first?

Yes. Bikini line is only planned after the clinician has assessed your concern, medical history, suitability, alternatives and realistic aims.

How many sessions will I need?

That depends on the product or technology, the area, your response and the agreed goal. Your clinician explains the likely course and full cost before you decide.

What recovery should I expect?

Recovery varies by treatment and individual response. You will receive specific preparation, aftercare, expected reactions and a clear route for urgent or non-urgent concerns.
