CO₂ laser resurfacing

Skin renewal. Planned with precision.

3D Vjuve fractional CO₂ laser for carefully selected texture, scar and skin-resurfacing concerns.

Understanding your treatment

A plan shaped
around you.

Fractional CO₂ laser delivers energy in a pattern of small treatment zones. This resurfaces selected areas of skin and triggers a healing response, while untreated tissue between the zones supports recovery.

Highfield uses the 3D Aesthetics Vjuve platform. Your skin tone, concern, previous treatments and ability to follow aftercare determine whether it is suitable and how intensively the skin is treated. A resurfacing plan is different from a focal lesion-removal procedure.

An educational skin timeline

How skin structure
changes with time.

Ageing skin is influenced by genetics, UV exposure, smoking, hormones, health and skincare. Choose an age, hormonal stage and main goal to see a proportionate order for consultation.

This is a conceptual population trend, not a personal measurement. It cannot measure your collagen or elastin, diagnose skin or prescribe treatment.

Your 40sVisible change varies widely.
Conceptual collagen and elastin integrity across adult ageA conceptual chart with age from 20 to 80 on the horizontal axis and relative structural integrity on the vertical axis. Direction and timing vary. Photoageing can also create abnormal elastin accumulation, so “more elastin” does not necessarily mean healthier function.

A plan for texture, fine lines and selected sun-related changes.

02

Acne scarring

An assessment of scar type and active acne before resurfacing.

03

Pigmentation

A diagnosis first, with careful consideration of pigment-change risk.

04

Other scars

Procedure and settings chosen for the scar and your skin.

05

Skin tags & benign lesions

A separate medical assessment, with referral or tissue diagnosis where needed.

06

Intimate health

A confidential medical consultation and a clear discussion of evidence and alternatives.

Intimate CO₂ laser

Vaginal rejuvenation: a medical discussion.

Dryness, discomfort and other intimate symptoms can have several causes. A medical assessment comes first, including established treatment options and referral when appropriate.

For urogenital atrophy, NICE recommends transvaginal laser only in a research setting: evidence on long-term safety and effectiveness is inadequate. We do not present this as a routine, proven rejuvenation treatment.

What to expect

Before, during
and after your visit.

01

Skin and medical assessment

The clinical team assesses the concern, your skin and relevant medical history. Resurfacing, scar work and focal lesion procedures need different plans; a diagnosis comes first.

02

Plan treatment & recovery

We agree the area, intensity, anaesthetic approach and expected healing period. Your appointment includes consent, clinical preparation and the separately agreed procedure.

03

Support while you heal

Follow the wound-care, skincare and sun-protection plan provided for your procedure. You receive clear advice on follow-up and symptoms that need prompt medical attention.

Your questions, answered

Your questions.
Clear answers.

Is CO₂ laser a treatment for active acne?

Resurfacing is usually considered for scarring or texture after active acne is controlled. Your clinician will assess active breakouts and plan the sequence of care.

Can every mole be removed with a laser?

No. A lesion must first be diagnosed. Suspicious or changing lesions may require specialist assessment and a method that allows a tissue sample to be examined.

How much recovery time should I plan?

This depends on the treatment area and laser settings. Your clinician will give a personalised healing estimate, skincare instructions and sun-protection advice before you decide.

What about intimate CO₂ laser treatment?

Intimate symptoms require a medical assessment. For urogenital atrophy, NICE recommends transvaginal laser only in a research setting because long-term safety and effectiveness evidence is inadequate. See the intimate-health information below.
