What question did the researchers ask?

Twenty-two women with hand photoageing received hyaluronic-acid microinjections in one hand and saline in the other. Eighteen completed follow-up, with ultrasound used to measure a feature associated with photoageing.

What did they actually find?

Among the patients classified as responders, ultrasound measures improved more on the hyaluronic-acid side than the saline side after the initial course and later monthly sessions.

What should you keep in mind?

This was a small hand study with a responder analysis and one formulation. It does not establish the value of every mesotherapy cocktail, facial indication, scalp protocol or cellulite treatment.

What does this mean for a Highfield consultation?

A controlled trial is useful context, but one protocol cannot establish benefit for every mesotherapy product. We consider that finding alongside independent guidance, your medical history, examination and priorities. It can support a better-informed decision, but it cannot promise a personal result or decide whether treatment is suitable.
