Candela laser treatments use controlled light energy to target particular structures in the skin. The wavelength and settings must match the concern and your skin type.

Highfield’s Candela GentleMax Pro platform offers alexandrite and Nd:YAG wavelengths. A consultation identifies the diagnosis, suitability and treatment area. Pigmented lesions must be assessed before laser is considered.

We start by checking whether your concern is a surface thread vein or a larger varicose vein. Varicose veins may require duplex ultrasound and a specialist assessment to plan suitable treatment.

Can any dark spot be treated?

No. We first need to understand the cause and exclude a suspicious lesion. Some pigment conditions require skincare or a different approach.

Is this the same appointment as laser hair removal?

Hair reduction has its own consultation, patch-testing and course planning. Visit our laser hair removal page for the area-by-area price list.

Do I need a consultation first?

Yes. Your medical history, concerns and suitability are assessed before treatment is agreed. We explain the options, risks, recovery and total cost so you can make an informed decision.
